Those involved in our worship ministry frequently participate in bringing music to the community and serving on ministry teams. We love our church and the music we sing, play and live which spills over into all that we do. Our response to Jesus’ great love for us is worship and giving that love away however God leads us!
MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES
WOW! KIDS
FBCOKC offers a wonderful integration of children’s choirs and missions for all children age 4 through 6th grade. They meet in our WOW! Kids rooms on Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:00 pm. Bring your kids for a great time of learning to worship God and share His love with others.
1VOICE
Our student choir meets during the school year on an intermittent basis. Our 7th-12th graders have sung in our worship service, gone on choir tours, helped sing and lead in-town mission trips and have led worship for our student groups on Wednesday evenings.
SANCTUARY CHOIR
FBCOKC has a wonderfully talented adult choir which leads worship in every Sunday morning service as well as other worship events throughout the year. No audition is required; all are welcome to minister together through music. We are more than just a choir. We are family! Bruce and Kim Greer are the directors of the Sanctuary Choir, and we rehearse every Wednesday evening from 7:00-8:30 pm in the choir room.
TECH TEAM
We are always on the lookout for volunteers who have skills and interest in serving in our tech booth for our worship services as well as other special events.
INSTRUMENTALISTS
We love variety at FBCOKC and use many different sounds and instruments in our worship services as well as other musical venues. Whether you play violin, guitar, drums, flute, piano, trumpet or most anything in between, we have a place for you.
DRAMA
FBCOKC uses drama from time to time to glorify God by creatively enhancing worship services, sermons, and musical/theatrical productions through drama. We call upon those in our church to participate in these areas as needed.
DANCE
We have used dance as a worshipful enhancement in several special musical events. What a wonderful gift and ministry! We are in need of those with dance skills to both lead in worship and help with choreography for children’s and adult musicals.
