Composer to direct Christmas musical at First Baptist Church, OKC |

First Baptist Church of Oklahoma City will present the cantata, "Joy Came Down" on Sunday, Dec.
2, during its 10:30 a.m. worship service. The cantata's composer, Bruce Greer, will direct the
performance, which includes the church's sanctuary choir, instrumentalists, vocal soloists and ensembles,
as well as readers from the youth drama troupe.
Greer, who currently serves as FBCOKC's interim music minister, arranged and orchestrated the work
along with lyricist Keith Ferguson.
"This musical includes traditional carols as well as some newer songs, and the audience will be
asked to sing along on some numbers," Greer said. "It will be an exciting way to usher in the
Advent season as we tell the story of Christmas through song, word and worship."
The musical will be held in the church's sanctuary at 1201 North Robinson in downtown Oklahoma City.
