First Baptist Church welcomes guest recording artist Paul Langford in worship on Sunday |

Chicago-based singer, composer, keyboardist, arranger and conductor Paul Langford will lead the worship
service on Sunday, Dec. 9, at 10:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Oklahoma City. Langford will direct
the congregational music portion of the service and perform a selection of solos.
"We are very excited that an artist with Paul’s great gifts and skill can join us in worship
during this Advent season," said Tom Ogburn, First Baptist’s Senior Pastor. "He will bring a
diversity of musical styles to our worship service that should help to shape our Christmas experience."
Langford has arranged for groups such as GLAD, Voices of Liberty, VoiceTrek and Day of Discovery
singers. His arrangements have appeared on recordings with greats like Gene Puerling and David Maddux.
He has performed or recorded with Kenny Rogers, Regis Philbin and Kathy Lee Gifford, GLAD, Steve
Green, Larnelle Harris, Damaris Carbaugh,Mavis Staples, Celine Dion and Yolanda Adams. His voice
has been heard on radio and TV commercials for companies such as Ronald McDonald House Charities,
Oldsmobile, L.L. Bean, Old El Paso, Warner Bros. and Nintendo.
In addition, Langford has led and arranged for choirs, rhythm sections, big bands, orchestras and
small acappella groups all across America and abroad.
The worship service will be held in the church’s sanctuary at 1201 North Robinson in downtown
