The mission strategy of FBC OKC presumes that the era of checkbook, denominationally-driven missions has passed and the church
is claiming its rightful place in the center of missions. Congregationally-based missions is born in authentic relationships that are shaped by
the gifting of the congregation and invites them into hands-on engagement. Over the past five years, God has brought a unique blend of local
and global relationships and mission opportunities to the church family at First Baptist Church of Oklahoma City. When these relationships and
opportunities are set against the gifts, skills and calling of the congregation, four areas of strategic focus have emerged: the poor; the persecuted;
the unchurched; and the unreached. There is a place for every member of FBC OKC to serve through prayer, giving, participating here at home and
participating around the world.
