Missions education for all ages

Missions Education
Missions is caught as much as it's taught, so we offer a wide range of hands-on missions opportunities for every age group. Whether we're folding clothes at the Good Shepherd clothes closet, cheering on our children in a fundraiser basketball game or traveling halfway around the world, we learn to share Christ's love with our community and our world.

Ongoing missions education classes and resources help keep us missions-minded. Wednesday evening classes for children teach missions through age-appropriate lessons. Visits from key missions leaders provide adults with firsthand accounts of the needs around the globe and updates on where and how our offerings are spent. In worship, we regularly commission individuals and teams of church members who are going out on mission endeavors. A 10-week Panorama Class will provide in-depth missions education for adults in 2011, and FBCOKC will serve as host for 2012's Perspectives on the World Christian Movement class.

From a one-day Sharefest to our weeklong Super Summer Sizzle (S3) or weeks on the ground in another country, sharing Jesus connects us to each other and our world.
